The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 custom variants have already been advertised in Europe and the UK, but Newegg has now given us our first peek at American costs. Ten graphics cards in all, all bespoke variants made by Gigabyte, MSI, and ASUS, are listed on the retailer’s website at the moment. The most costly NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 graphics cards are listed by ASUS, with the TUF Gaming selling for $1800 US and the top-tier ROG STRIX model costing an outrageous $2000 US. The Non-OC models are less expensive, but if you wanted to get your car factory overclocked, you’d have to pay a premium tax of several hundred dollars. The SUPRIM X is listed at $1699.99 US, which is a $100 US premium over the reference MSRP, while the SUPRIM Liquid is available for $1749 US, which is a $150 US premium over the SUPRIM X. The price of the Gaming X Trio in the US is $1649 ($50 more). The Windforce, the only model from Gigabyte that has been advertised, has a starting price of $1599.99 US, which is a reasonable price given the premium quad-slot cooler that it makes use of. A little bit more money will be spent on the OC and Gaming OC models, but not by as much as ASUS. A total of 16,384 CUDA cores and 128 of the 144 SMs will be used by the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090. The GPU will have 384 ROPs and 96 MB of L2 cache, which is ridiculous, but since the RTX 4090 is a scaled-down version, it might have slightly lower L2 and ROP counts. Although the clock speeds have not been verified, taking into account that the TSMC 4N technology is being used. On October 12 just a few weeks from now the graphics card will formally arrive on store shelves.
