The RTX 4070
The RTX 4070 from the Ada Lovelace lineup will be based on the AD104-250-A1 GPU with 5888 Cuda Cores. This amounts to 46 SMs, Fun fact, the RTX 3070 featured the same Cuda core count which means one thing. The RTX 4070 will not be a major upgrade over its predecessor. Initially, we thought that the 4070 will be heavily downgraded to AD106, however, that will probably not happen.

Cache-wise, Kopite claims that the 4070 will be equipped with 36MB of L2 cache. A TDP of 250W will make this GPU consume 30W more than the RTX 3070. That was a lot of information and most of it is kind of disappointing.
Pricing And Launch Date
The RTX 4070 may launch with the RTX 4070 Ti, however, this has not been confirmed. In addition, the pricing will be <$899. Our guess is that the RTX 4070 will cost $699 because of AMD’s aggressive pricing strategy. In any case, the RTX 4070 will not be ‘2x‘ faster than the RTX 3070.
