i7-13700T

The i7-13700T packs a punch with a massive 16 core / 24 thread count for a mobile CPU. This monstrosity consumes just 35W of power and dethrones the 12900K in single core performance. If we talk about the multi-core score, then this CPU is neck to neck against the 12600K (125W, Max Turbo of 150W). That’s insane if we’re considering a generational leap.

Test Bench

The test bench of course features a laptop from HP using the Windows 11 OS. The base frequency of the 13700T is rated at 1.4GHz which can go as high as a whopping 4.8GHz. The actual power consumption is unknown, however, even on boosting (99W, similar to the 12700T) we still get higher performance and better efficiency than the Ryzen Ryzen 7 5800X.

Performance Metrics

The i7-13700T scores 1939 points in single core testing where the multi-core score is at 11564 points. To put that into perspective, we compiled a few relative performance charts. The multi-core performance is slightly lower due to the lower TDP, however, it is still on par with the 7600X from Zen4. Amazing! Intel is looking to clap back in the mobile segment where AMD always had the lead due to its efficiency.

Release Date

Team blue is looking at the upcoming Innovation Event planned for 27th of September for announcing Raptor Lake. A while back, information related to the announcement/launch schedule surfaced. These mobile 13th Gen counterparts may arrive later, possibly in 2023.
