For those who do not know, Corsair is actually one of the oldest gaming peripheral manufacturers which is committed to providing excellent products, and the best part is that they are actually doing a great job as well. You cannot really go wrong with what Corsair is offering. Their Void Pro is definitely one of the best offerings available in the market, and the best part is that these are among the most affordable gaming headphones that you can buy with a stellar performance. On the other hand, you have the Sennheiser GSP300; as we all know, Sennheiser seems to be the king of the industry and has some amazing products available on sale, as well. This only means that their products are amazing through and through and you should not have to worry about much. With that said, since these headphones are targeting the same customer base, we have decided to run a comparison to see which one is better. This will allow us to have a better understanding and we will be able to guide you in a better way, too.
Sound Quality
Gaming headphones in the past have suffered from average sound quality, to be honest. That is largely because of how aggressively tuned the headphones were. Things are actually changing in the modern-day and age and people are realizing that gaming headphones are finally showing initiative and they are being much better in overall performance. That being said, the sound quality on the Sennheiser GSP300 is done through the standard 3.5mm jack; which means that if you connect it to a good source, you are going to get impressive results through and through. The sound is stereo but Sennheiser has done a great job at engineering these headphones because they sound phenomenal. Not just in terms of gaming but also in terms of music and movies. The sound is full and extremely balanced, which I really like.
On the other hand, Corsair uses the virtual 7.1 Dolby Surround tech and while that does look like a lot fancier and better way to implement the sound, it is only as good as far as gaming is concerned, and even when you are comparing both in terms of the gaming performance, the GSP300 are definitive winners. So, the choice is pretty no brainer if you ask me. The sound on the Void Pro actually sounds a lot more artificial than it does natural, so that is one of the concerns that you might have to face. Overall, the sound quality is definitely better on the Sennheiser GSP300. It feels a lot fuller and better in general, and the headphones can be used for pretty much anything you want to use them for. Winner: Sennheiser GSP300.
Microphone
Having a good microphone in a gaming headset is a lot more important than you might think. Especially if you are someone who plays online with their friend and does not have an external microphone, in such situations, having a microphone is an absolute blessing. The microphone on the Corsair Void Pro is not as promising as we thought it would be. Sure, it is better than what we had expected in the first place, but as far as the overall performance is concerned, it is not as promising, and that is one thing that you absolutely should keep in mind. At times, I feel like I am using a microphone that was put on in a hurry and there was not much attention paid to it overall. On the other hand, GSP300 has an exceptionally good microphone that you can want from a good gaming headset. While I would tell you that the microphone is not something that you will do voiceovers on, but still, if you are looking for the cleanest possible audio, this is the way to go. Winner: Sennheiser GSP300.
Comfort
If you are planning to spend hours playing Fortnite or Apex Legends, you need to have something that is going to be comfortable for you. This is definitely one thing that most people overlook almost entirely. But the good news is that both good news is that we have tested both headphones properly. The Corsair Void Pro is largely the same as its predecessor, which is not a bad thing at all. However, the important thing to keep in mind is that the ear pads are just the right amount of padded and even have breathable material that I really like. I wore these for extended periods and did not find any discomfort. So, if you are looking for something that is going to give you a good comfortable experience, this is the way to go. On the other hand, Sennheiser GSP300 is also great when it comes to providing a comfortable experience. The headphones are nicely padded through and through and you really do not have to worry about many issues coming in the way. I think that the overall experience is definitely really good with Sennheiser, however, the difference between both headphones is so negligible, that it is hard to decide which one is better. That is why, keeping that in mind, we have decided to give both the headphones the benefit of winning this section. Winner: Both.
Conclusion
I actually had a much easier time drawing a conclusion when this comparison came to mind. Most of my mind was made up when I tested both headphones for sound quality and microphone. As far as the comfort is concerned, they are both comfortable in their own right but that does not warrant a win over the other. The decision is simple, the Sennheiser GSP300 is definitely the better headphones as far as the overall experience is concerned and if you are looking for something that will satisfy your requirements, this is the way to go.
